Muscat spends €10.5 million on ‘vanity project’ summits

Budget details given in parliament a few days ago reveal that the government budgeted €4.5 million for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting but then asked for another €2.3 million, and that it budgeted €3.7 million for the EU-Africa Migration Summit.
This total amount of €10.5 million is just the actual budgets for the meetings. It does not include the direct orders and other supplies and services paid for through the budgets for other departments and projects.
The people of Malta spent €6.8 million to make this possible for Joseph, Michelle, Soleil and Etoile Muscat.
