So many shady goings-on – but the newspapers and the Opposition need to press home with this one

The legal notice making it permissible for members of foreign security services to bear arms in Malta was sold to us as a temporary measure for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting when British soldiers were temporarily deployed here in Malta to protect their queen because they didn’t trust the wreckage Manuel Mallia left of the Maltese army to do it for them.
But now we find that it wasn’t temporary at all, but permanent.
