Army colonel who heads detention services doesn’t have security clearance

I read through this news report this morning to find that the real news is buried towards the end and mentioned only in passing as a quote from the Opposition.

The head of detention services does not have security clearance. And he’s an army colonel.

This beggars belief. It should have been a front-page headline. Another of the incoming Labour government’s fantastic appointments made through the equally fabulous appointment of Manuel Mallia as Police & Army Minister.

Beyond shocking.
