It’s because the Labour Party has always been uncomfortable with anything it can’t control

The Labour Party doesn’t simply move into government. It thinks in terms of seizing control. So anything it can’t control – like the free press, compounded by the internet – and anyone it can’t buy, influence, intimidate or ‘persuade’ becomes a problem.
