The Law Commissioner has admitted publicly on the internet that he has spent the last three years trying to strong-arm the Justice Minister into making libel laws more punitive and harsher towards journalists to protect politicians. But the Justice Minister has not obliged, he wrote, as a result of which I have been allowed to “wreak havoc within Labour”.
This will be of particular interest to other journalists, as we need to know who our enemies are and what they are trying to do to us, but it is a matter of general public interest too.
