And to think that Muscat has been charging us €7,500 a year for his since 2008

Joseph Muscat has been charging the public purse €7,500 a year to graciously carry on using his own car, which is just like this one, since 2008 when he became Opposition leader. It is still the same car, and so far he has taken €60,000 from the public purse to use it, while keeping it. He still has another €15,000 to collect over the next two years – more than the car is worth, as you can see here – and bringing the total to €75,000 in all.

If he had any sense of decency, he would then have it scrapped (or knowing him, sell it at a premium as ‘Joseph’s car’) and start charging us €7,500 a year on a new one, whether he’s Opposition leader or – heaven forfend – prime minister again.
