Adam Whittington, the former Scotland Yard detective who has since turned mercenary and set up an agency called Child Abduction Recovery International, was jailed in Singapore 16 months ago for illegally entering that country by sea at night and abducting a small child from his grandparents’ house in violation of a court order, scuffling with the child’s Singaporean grandparents, who are in their 60s and “pressing their necks” until they let the child go.

Whittington is the man who Anthony Busuttil commissioned and paid to hunt down Larisa Leontieva, the woman who escaped from him after years of abuse (see the post following this one) with their seven-year-old child. Whittington uploaded a photograph of himself with Adam Busuttil on his Child Abduction Recovery International Facebook page after his successful ‘capture’.
