JosephKonrad must be over the moon. Konrad is unchallenged for the post of deputy party leader. Watch out for a big, big iced bun moving Edward Zammit Lewis’s way for having agreed not to throw his hat into the ring.

But he probably wouldn’t have anyway. He’s supposed to be Joseph’s best friend, so he knows what Joseph wants. Edward, Joseph and their wives socialise together and go on family holidays together. Joseph doesn’t socialise with Konrad, and it’s not because he hasn’t got a wife in the picture, which makes things awkward. It’s because Joseph and Konrad don’t mix business with pleasure, and they’re sticking to JosephKonrad Incorporated.
