Maltese people living in the UK: you can vote in the referendum, so register for it

Maltese people living in the UK will be pleased to learn that they can vote in the June referendum – because no doubt they will want to have their say and vote for the UK to stay in the European Union.

The details on how to register to vote are here. Citizens of member states other than the UK are not allowed to vote in the referendum even if they are living and working/studying there. An exception is made for the citizens of Malta and Cyprus – not because they are in the EU but because they are in the Commonwealth.

The referendum vote is open to everybody living in the UK who is British or from any one of the 53 Commonwealth states.

If you have family or friends who live in Britain, please send them the link to this post.
