Owen ta’ Janice redefines overarching arrogance
Look at the Sunday Times front page yesterday. This is what happens to men when they hive off from their wife, never had a wife, or have a wife who is an enabler. There’s nobody to tell them what an arrogant twat they are, and how badly they’re coming across.
Janice is a mistress, and as such, survives in his life by her wits and something else which we needn’t get into. Mistresses worm their way into the lives of married men by telling them what they want to hear and not what they should here. The transition to telling them what they should hear, when the marriage is over and they are the main woman, is rarely made successfully.
And that is why a man whose insecure mistress is his only confidante end up getting into such terrible messes. The mistress shores him up, and preserves her place in his life, by constantly telling him he’s right, everybody else is wrong, that he’s wonderful and fantastic – and he comes to rely more and more on her and her reassurances and heads down the tunnel.
I’m sure this kind of thing works excellently well in bed (“I’m right and the experts are wrong.” “Oh, Owen, you’re so BIG.”). Out of bed, not so much. Get a grip, Owen. And while you’re at it, prise off Janice’s.
