Tourism Minister and Transport Minister flew to Istanbul yesterday

A member of my international worldwide network of spies tells me that Edward Zammit Lewis and Joe Mizzi (the Tourism Minister and the Transport Minister) were on the Turkish Airlines flight from Malta to Istanbul last night, in business class.

Given that the only thing these two have in common is Air Malta, we have to ask: is the deal with Etihad falling through, and are they back to begging Turkish Airlines to buy the national airline?

You will notice that JosephKonrad is not involved, because this is not something you can get a cut from. Nobody’s so keen to buy a failing national airline that they will pay you to allow them to buy it.
