An indicator of the exploitative structure of the Marigold Foundation/Fersani slave labour scheme is this.
Fourteen prisoners are owed €16,000 for producing at least 400 costumes for the CHOGM 2015 vanity project. That works out at €40 per costume but, since the €16,000 also includes unpaid dues for curtains and other works, the average pay-out per costume produced works out at drastically less.
