Instead of handing in his resignation, Konrad Mizzi went to court to sue Fenech Adami for libel

Words fail me. First he paints himself into yet another corner, saying last night that he will sue for libel in the morning and leaving himself with no way out, and then he goes and does it, making his situation so much worse. And the government’s Department of Information does his dirty personal work for him.
