When he set up his top-secret operation, Konrad Mizzi had to fill in a form, with boxes to tick. He ticked the boxes for ‘No audit’ and ‘Total secrecy and confidentiality’. Oh, and he also ticked another box to confirm that he would NOT be using it to manage or contain assets from an inheritance.
That kind of blows out of the water his and the Prime Minister’s hastily-invented explanation that he had been planning to declare it to parliament all along.
“Total secrecy and confidentiality”, he specified. I have to say it: kemm int zvinturat, Sur Ministru. You could have got away with it for the rest of your life, but you were caught almost immediately through pure chance.
