Sorry – no drone. Google Earth will have to suffice. This is an aerial view of the compound that Joseph Muscat built when he was 24. On his 24th birthday (22 January 1998) he applied for a permit to demolish the premises at 52 Triq San Pawl Milqi in Burmarrad and to build instead “a store at basement level, ground floor terraced house and swimming pool, first floor maisonette and overlying washrooms”.

The permit was approved in just one month.

The swimming pool, at 56 square metres, is bigger than Beppe Fenech Adami’s. The area covered by the Muscat compound is shaded in yellow.
