Nexia BT’s turnover goes up from €1.9m to €4.5m in first two years of Labour government
Nexia BT’s Transparency Reports (see below) show that its turnover went up from €1,914,627 as at 31st December 2012 to €4,552,170 as at 31st December 2014.
Brian Tonna has been working at his practice since 1992. It took him 20 years to build up his turnover to €1.9 million. Then in the next two years – thanks to his friendship with the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, Keith Schembri, whose company auditor he has been for many years – it shot up to €4.5 million, an increase of €2.6 million built up in just the years 2013 and 2014.
Tonna is currently embroiled in the Panamagate scandal, as the man who fixed things for the Health & Energy Minister and the Prime Minister’s chief of staff to set up asset-concealing companies in Panama sheltered by trusts in New Zealand, even though he was fully aware of his reporting requirements as they are both politically exposed persons (PEPs).
