Sohum Wellness and Fort St Elmo: more corruption and total absence of transparency

The “Dubai consortium” that has submitted a proposal for the take-over of the lower reaches of Fort St Elmo is actually a company registered in Malta whose real shareholders are completely concealed by an opaque company registered in the highly secretive jurisdiction of the British Virgin Islands.
It is astonishing that the newspaper which reported the “news” of a Dubai consortium simply took the government’s word for it and did not immediately log onto the Companies Registry portal to see what’s what.
The David Meli on the registry documents is simply the ‘front’ for the real shareholders who are concealed by Strategic Investment Management Inc, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and with an address in Tortola there.
