Toni Abela says “There’s nothing left for me now.”

I watched all the news on all three channels to see whether somebody had spoken to Toni Abela. On TVM they simply quoted him (not a voice quote) as saying to them “There’s nothing left for me now” then saying that he didn’t wish to say anything further.

On Super One TV, the Justice Minister’s mistress, in her secondary role as Labour TV newscaster, raved on about how “malicious agents of the Nationalist Party” worked against Abela’s interests and that is why he failed the hearing despite being “honest in his answers”.

Then I checked my email and found one from a member of my worldwide international network of spies on the Air Malta flight back from Brussels, who said that Toni Abela was on the plane – IN CLUB CLASS – staring into space and fiddling with his spectacles. “He looks bloodless,” this man wrote. “Totally distracted.”

For Toni Abela to turn white as a sheet, that must be some kind of shock.
