Which one of them is lying?

Yesterday Economy Minister Chris Cardona told the press, in answer to a very specific question, that Toni Abela is still deputy leader of the Labour Party and Konrad Mizzi is not.
But this morning, when asked a similar question as he walked to the Labour Party club in Had-Dingli, the Prime Minister said that “of course (Abela) has resigned”.
Who do we believe?
