Brian Tonna’s roadmap: look at this interview, published end June 2012
Brian Tonna told The Times back in June 2012 about his plans “to move to the Capital Business Centre in San Gwann by the end of the year in anticipation of further growth”.
The staff had previously been divided between offices at the Tower Business Centre in Swatar and the basement office at his (now famous) bungalow home in Marsascala.
“Now we have consolidated but it is time to take the next step,” Tonna told The Times.
“Boosting the team’s size will be essential if the firm is to take on the more profitable compliance and advisory business. With more resources, the firm will also be prepared for new challenges from both an international and local regulation perspective,” he said back then, failing to tell the journalist (of course, because it was secret) that he was working on a roadmap at the time with his client Keith Schembri of the Labour Party.
“The only way we can grow in volume, number, revenue and profitability, is through marketing,” he said instead. “The added business brought in by that function will not only enhance our repute and our portfolio, but also build our employer brand. A multi-faceted strategy will see us into our next chapter.”
