Just look at this fascinating analysis
The news staff at Newsbook, the news portal which belongs to the same stable as RTK radio, has carried out an analysis with absorbing results.
With what must have been great stamina (unless they took very short shifts), they listened to all 13 hours of the debate in parliament on Monday last week, in the lead-up to the confidence vote in the government, and counted the number of times that speakers mentioned ‘Panama’ and ‘Konrad Mizzi’.
Not one of the speakers on the government’s side of the House mentioned Konrad Mizzi, not even once. And the only two on the government’s side of the House who mentioned Panama were the Prime Minister, just once and fleetingly, and Konrad Mizzi himself.
Yet this was the subject of the debate. It’s so obvious that they were under strict instructions to pretend none of it was happening by creating a surreal situation in which they debated anything but Panama and Konrad Mizzi in a debate that was essentially about that.
