THE LATEST SHOCKER: Azerbaijani press reports that Malta bought A QUARTER of all Azerbaijan’s petroleum product exports last year

The dots are now really joining up on this corrupt mess. The press in Azerbaijan has reported the facts on the biggest buyers of that country’s oil and petro products last year (2015). Tiny Malta with a population of under half a million bought a full quarter of Azerbaijan total exported petroleum products.

This fact emerged from a conference speech delivered by a SOCAR executive, Kamran Mammadzadeh. SOCAR is the state oil company of Azerbaijan.

Now we know what that secret deal was in December 2014, when the Prime Minister flew to Baku accompanied only by Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and Kurt Farrugia, with no civil servants and no diplomats (and no press entourage either).

Now we have a better idea of why Konrad Mizzi, Keith Schembri and Joseph Muscat are refusing to show that contract even to parliament, let alone to the press.
