UPDATED WITH PHOTOGRAPH OF PIERRE SLADDEN – SEE BELOW.

Pierre Sladden, the contractor who worked on the reconstruction of the Progress Press/Allied Newspapers Mriehel building, was revealed by the Australian Financial Review early this morning to have had a company set up for him in the British Virgin Islands, by Nexia BT/Mossack Fonseca, at the same time Nexia BT/Mossack Fonseca set up companies in Panama for the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, Keith Schembri, and the Health/Energy Minister, Konrad Mizzi.

The Australian Financial Review also revealed details of the highly suspicious movement of almost one million US dollars, transacted against a single invoice, between Sladden’s company in the BVI and an obscure company in Cyprus, in what is a classic money-laundering move.

Now I can reveal that Pierre Sladden owned a company registered in Malta together with Keith Schembri and Phyllis Muscat, a close friend of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, who he appointed CEO of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2015 Organisation Committee. The company, Grigal Films Ltd, was incorporated in August 2012 and is now in dissolution. See the documents below.

Spira Trading Ltd is Pierre Sladden’s company. Kasco Holdings Ltd is Keith Schembri’s company. Well Being Services Ltd belongs to Phyllis Muscat and her husband.
