Saying that he wanted the Panama company to hold his London house wasn’t the best excuse

Not as it turns out, anyway – read this report in The Times (London). One of the salient facts that emerges from the Panama Papers is just how many criminals, shady people and corrupt operators use Panamanian companies to purchase and hold real estate in London.
In this context, saying that he set up his company in Panama to hold his “house in London” (of unspecified address and value) is most ill-advised.
