The Prime Minister and his aides are batsh*t crazy – there is no other explanation for their behaviour

Published: April 1, 2016 at 12:36am

You know they’re going down when they begin intimidating people left, right and centre – because those are their true colours and they don’t understand how democracy works. They think it’s just a vote once every five years.

An aide to the Prime Minister – Glenn Bedingfield – is now running a blog the sole purpose of which is to intimidate, insult, verbally assault and expose to ridicule all critics and perceived enemies of his boss the Prime Minister. Worse still, he is uploading – yes, actually, physically uploading, because he moderates them and they don’t go up automatically – comments that are so vulgar and offensive, so riddled with pornographic references and ghastly hamallagni, that I have come to the conclusion that both he and his boss the Prime Minister are batsh*t crazy.

There is no other explanation for it. You would expect a Bolivian peasant or a gutter supporter of the Malta Labour Party not to know why an aide to the head of the government should not be intimidating and assaulting critics of that government, with his boss’s full approval, encouragement and backing (and payment). But there is no way on earth that the Prime Minister and his aide Glenn Bedingfield do not know that this is Third World dictatorship behaviour.

This evening, Bedingfield and the Prime Minister have taken one step further in their descent into madness. Bedingfield has uploaded a photograph of the face of a completely private citizen, a stockbroker, and has written with confidence that he is the one who took the photograph of Mrs Muscat by the pool in Dubai and gave it to me.

He didn’t. I didn’t even know that the stockbroker, Edward Rizzo, was there. And the only way Glenn Bedingfield could have known he was there is because the Prime Minister saw Rizzo and told Bedingfield to target him on his website.

Readers of my website, who tend to have European values unlike readers of Bedingfield’s, will immediately understand how very shocking this is, how wrong on so many levels that you wouldn’t imagine these things even have to be explained to supposedly civilised people in a democratic country and EU member state.

As soon as I was alerted to this madness, I posted my response on Bedingfield’s website (see below). Any person with some remnants of sanity would, in the face of a forthright denial, immediately take down the post. Instead, the Prime Minister’s aide has left the post up, with my denial beneath it, and he has continued to moderate comments for upload that target Mr Rizzo, his stockbroking business and his connections, despite the fact that he now knows that Rizzo had nothing to do with it (and even if he did, it would still be terribly wrong).

Of course, what Glenn Bedingfield doesn’t know – being from the boondocks and not having a clue who is who and what is what (they actually think I married my husband to “social climb” and “for his surname”, such is their catastrophic ignorance of that narrow swathe of Malta that will remain forever alien to them) – is that Edward Rizzo is Philip Rizzo’s brother’s son.

Yes, that very same Philip Rizzo who paraded himself about like a charlatan on the Labour Party’s television station in the last general election campaign, telling anybody who would listen that he’s converted to Labour because Joseph Muscat is so fabulous. In his gratitude, ‘Joseph’ then returned the favour by making him CEO of the Employment & Training Corporation, from which position he resigned soon after the Panamagate scandal erupted.

And this comes just a day after the Prime Minister’s wife called a press conference to intimidate the journalist who wrote about Curtaingate, and worse still, to threaten the vulnerable prisoners who told that journalist that Mrs Muscat and her buddy Mary Grace Pisani hadn’t yet paid them for the many pairs of curtains and 400 CHOGM theatrical costumes they had sewn for them months ago.

Meanwhile, that photograph of Mrs Muscat by the pool in Dubai has been shared 8,000 times on Facebook via this website alone. That should be a warning sign to them of which way public opinion is going.

MY REPLY TO GLENN BEDINGFIELD – WHICH HE ONLY UPLOADED AFTER I SENT HIM A WARNING COMMENT SAYING THAT IF HE DIDN’T UPLOAD IT, I WOULD DO SO ON MY WEBSITE ANYWAY:

You are completely irresponsible, Glenn. And the fact that you are one of the Prime Minister’s aides makes you even more dangerously and recklessly irresponsible in publishing the photographs of private citizens in this manner and accusing them of the terrible crime of taking a photograph of the Prime Minister’s wife.

Where in the civilised world do aides to the Prime Minister do this kind of thing? This is behaviour associated with Third World dictatorships.

It would be bad even if Edward Rizzo had given me the picture or taken it, but it is beyond unbelievable that you should simply jump to conclusions and set him up as a target for your lousy supporters, when you know how violent and awful they are.

No, Edward Rizzo did not take the picture and he did not send it to me. I don’t reveal my sources and I can’t be made to reveal them, but I will gladly say who did NOT pass on information when I see somebody under attack in this terrible fashion.

Do you even understand how shockingly anti-democratic your behaviour is, and why an aide to the Prime Minister of an EU member state should not intimidate people in this fashion? If not, I hope somebody with sense on your side of the political fence – is there anybody with sense on your side of the political fence nowadays? – explains it to you and to your increasingly erratic boss.

Here are a couple of other photographs taken by members of my international worldwide network of spies. Perhaps Glenn and the Prime Minister would like to set about trying to intimidate the people who sent me these too - or rather, somebody who didn't.
