What a great time for a demo against cruelty to animals
What a great time for a protest against cruelty to animals.
This Sunday, “animal activists” are holding a protest against cruelty to animals. Those who know me well are aware that on the whole, and with the exception of a few individuals, I much prefer animals to humans. But this is hardly the appropriate time for a demonstration of this nature. The fact that it has been organised by that rabidly lifelong supporter of the Labour Party in all its historic incarnations, Moira Delia, might have something to do with it.
She should have been at the demonstration against corruption in the government. Right now, that’s the priority. Ridiculously, the Parliamentary Secretary for Animal Rights – can there be more of a non-job on an island like Malta, except perhaps for that tub of lard with the IQ of a barnyard fowl, Glenn Bedingfield’s? – is going to demonstrate too, with Mrs Delia.
Why, exactly? He’s the one the demonstrators are supposed to be demonstrating to.
