Yes, but it’s not his house, is it?

The Minister for the Family, Michael Farrugia, has announced on Facebook that his “house has been vandalised”. The accompanying picture shows that somebody simply sprayed four letters on the front door. From what I can make out, they look like CAMY.

But the point here is that it is not even his house. The door number is ‘1’ and as you can see from his declaration of assets to parliament a few days ago, the only address listed as being wholly owned by him has 7 as a door number.

Michael Farrugia, like his cabinet colleague Chris Cardona, has been living in borrowed or rented temporary accommodation here and there since he left his wife for a nurse years ago (he then left the nurse for Amanda Mifsud, who he has since had put on the state payroll as a director at Identity Malta). At one point while he was a spokesman for the Opposition, he was living in premises at Wardija borrowed from Charlie Bartolo, the bookmaker who died a few days ago.

He doesn’t even say where that door number 1 is, or what the graffiti-sprayer meant to imply with the oblique CAMY. It’s not about politics, that’s for sure. These people are so shady.
