Cyrus and Randolph take over Dar Malta

Cyrus Engerer, who has an expensive job at Dar Malta in Brussels but can’t get a security pass because of his criminal conviction and two-and-a-half-year prison sentence, and his boyfriend Randolph Debattista, the former Labour Party employee who has miraculously ended up head of secretariat to Marlene Bonnici, Malta’s permanent representative, appear to be taking some executive decisions at Dar Malta.

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, and the EU flag at Dar Malta has been replaced by the Rainbow flag. This is clearly a unilateral initiative, because I haven’t noticed the same thing at the Office of the Prime Minister or the Foreign Ministry in Malta.

Engerer was so pleased with this gesture justifying his €90,000 a year package (you can buy a lot of Burberry scarves with that) that he took a picture and uploaded it on his personal Facebook page.
