Family Minister tweets: “I have no time to waste on who is bitter and corrupt”

Let’s leave aside the terrible syntax (though somebody in his position should know that it’s “I have no time to waste on those who are bitter and corrupt”).
How, why and in what way does Michael Farrugia, who is a government minister, think it appropriate to tweet something like that, and to become involved in antagonistic and hostile (bitter?) exchanges with members of the public.
And then he expects us to be positively impressed at how far he’s come in life when he gives an interview saying how he grew up in a house without a bathroom (like 60-70% of the Maltese population in those days; it was hardly exceptional).
