Here’s another one who’s on the state payroll in the Prime Minister’s Office

Ramona Attard spent her entire working life until March 2013 as an employee of the Labour Party, working for its television station. Then in March 2013, she transferred herself to the state payroll, hoovering up large amounts of public money in her ‘job’ as ‘communications consultant’ to the parliamentary secretary for EU Funds, Ian Borg.

There was a hint of scandal there, and the next thing we know, Miss Attard was suddenly communications coordinator in the private secretariat of the worst public relations disaster in a government full of them: the Minister of the Interior, Manuel Mallia.

When Mallia was ‘fired’ – he has since been rehabilitated in true Soviet fashion – Ramona Attard did not lose her position at the public teat, as is customary when a minister goes and his private secretariat, with its people in positions of trust, goes with him. No, instead she transferred herself to the Office of the Prime Minister, as a communications adviser to Joseph Muscat.

Meanwhile, she continues her partisan trolling and public assaults on critics of the government, while showboating on the Labour Party TV station, hosting ‘political discussions’.

And this woman has the brass neck to call me “Simon’s blogger”. Is she quite out of her mind, like the rest of them?

As communications consultant to the Prime Minister, Miss Attard, you should right now be closeted up with your boss and his corrupt chief of staff, who shouldn’t even be there, working out how to handle the massive crisis in which you find yourself. Instead, the lot of you – your boss and his corrupt chief of staff included – spent the entire day yesterday tweeting about a singer.

All I can say at this late stage is that the otherwise sane, intelligent and well-educated people I know who voted for your lot of corrupt bastards – is that word more acceptable than “bitch”, do you think? – were criminally irresponsible and need to screw their heads on the right way round before 2018 or this country is finished.

And my name is not ‘DCG’ but Daphne Caruana Galizia. Try hard to remember that you represent the government, and not your fellow slum-dwellers and partially schooled trolls at Labour TV. Government by hamalli for hamalli (and for corrupt money-grabbers like the power station people) has done enough damage as it is. We’ve had enough of you already. Pick up the vibe that people are totally sick of you now, no matter what that sleaze Sandro Chetcuti whispers in your boss’s ear.
