Konrad’s power station plays up because it wants a Panama company too

This saga of ineptitude and corruption becomes more ridiculously dangerous by the month. Now we’re told that Konrad’s power station will miss yet another deadline.

The ancient LNG gas tanker which the south-east Asian company Bumi Armada is refurbishing for use at Delimara won’t be ready before October because they’re discovered that it’s full of asbestos. That’s how old it is: it predates anti-asbestos legislation.

And to think that Malta doesn’t need this power station in the first place, but some people needed it for reasons best known to themselves.
