How Malta’s prime minister tackles corruption: his Department of Information keeps us informed

This is the latest fantastically important bulletin, dispatched this morning by the Department of Information in the Office of the Prime Minister, about Muscat’s presence in London at the summit of “fantastically corrupt” leaders who are meeting to fight corruption.

Muscat was at a breakfast meeting with “David”, wouldn’t you know. But David sat him at the far end of the table. This picture recalls those days in primary school at St Dorothy’s in Sliema, at a time when we used to eat lunch there in a proper refectory, and the naughty boys and girls would be seated in the punishment zone, isolated at one end of the table and not allowed to speak to anyone. At least he isn’t being force-fed overcooked liver, boiled cabbage and beetroot.
