The Prime Minister walked out when Marlene Farrugia rose to speak

I think I’m going to start a Bitch of the Year Award. And I know who’s going to win it.

Meanwhile, I have to say that Marlene Farrugia is really putting Godfrey Farrugia to shame, whether that is the intention or not. There are going to be a bunch of people out here (mainly your typical Maltese men over 50) who will be saying “Miskin Godfrey”, and a bunch of other people (mainly your typical Maltese nisa tad-dar of the ‘stand by your man’ variety) who will be tut-tutting away. But quite frankly, sexist losers like those can go to hell or choose to join the 21st century and common decency.

Marlene Farrugia is right and the man she lives with is by far the lesser person – that much is obvious. What a shame that he has turned out to be such a coward. She shouldn’t be standing by her man, but he most certainly should be standing by his woman.
