Health Minister spends Monday mornings and Friday afternoons at his constituency offices

Having been sent this notice, which gives the impression that the new Minister for Health does no government work at all but spends his time canvassing for votes and doing people favours at his constituency offices in Tarxien and Zejtun, I rang one of the numbers to ask when the ‘ministru’ is actually present there.

I was told that he is at the Zejtun office every Monday between 9 and 11.30am, and at the Tarxien office every Friday from 3pm onwards.

So on Friday afternoons, the Minister for the Economy is drinking at The Stable surrounded by some of the sleazier elements of society, and the Minister for Health is looking after his personal electoral interests at his constituency office in Tarxien.

Prime Minister Muscat runs such a tight ship.

As a side note, every morning until 9 or 9.30am, the Health Minister is at the Skyparks gym, usually wearing a football shirt with FEARNE across the back.
