Will English cease to be an official language of the European Union when Britain leaves? If that happens, we are going to have serious problems with documents in Malta. People only pretend to use the Maltese translations and that they are necessary. In reality, everybody prefers the English ones because they are easier to read and understand, are more accurate and make more sense. But that’s just a minor problem.

I’m listening to Mark Carney, governor of the Bank of England, speaking on the BBC right now. He has said that the Bank of England has reserved 250 billion pounds it is prepared to spend to mitigate the fall-out of a plunging pound and help prevent instability. He was very grave.
