Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained) calls Nigel Farage “the head rat who deserted the sinking ship”
Christoph Waltz, the Oscar-winning actor known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s films, has lambasted Nigel Farage for absconding, and has called the British vote to leave the European Union “abysmal stupidity”.
Waltz was speaking to Sky News. “Well, I mean, of course the head rat would leave the sinking ship,” he said. “It’s inevitable, you know. They tried to dress it up as a heroic exit — no, it’s conceding defeat”.
“It’s putting the tail between their legs and as rats do, leave the sinking ship, leave the mess for others to clean up and retreat into some profitable other business,” he continued. “That shows you how despicable these people are that they can’t even stand up for what they caused.”
When asked whether he is against the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union, Waltz replied: “Oh, 100 per cent. A little too emotionally because I can’t comprehend the abysmal stupidity.”
