Eight participants in Turkish coup seek asylum in Greece

Eight soldiers who took a military helicopter across Turkey’s border into Greece today, and applied for asylum, will have their applications considered by the Greek authorities. Turkey has demanded that they be forcibly returned, but Greece will not comply, sources within the Greek government saying that the helicopter will, however, be “returned immediately”.
