And on another planet, the Law Commissioner frets about being taken out and shot
The Law Commissioner is on the verge of hysteria because of his failure to understand the expression ‘taken out and shot’. He protests that he knows what it means, but has gone ballistic, suggesting that it is an incitement to violence and a threat on his life.
He has posted crazed comments about this on his Facebook page (because, of course, the sort of Facebook friends he has will know all about idiomatic English expressions and the law), and, not content with that, popped in this morning beneath my column for The Malta Independent – which is not about him but about John Bundy’s appointment as PBS CEO – and posted the same cracked stuff there.
He really should be taken out and shot. He’s doing nobody any favours – not himself and not the government which appointed him.
And then to top it all, he uploaded, on his Facebook page, a photograph of himself – not a selfie but a picture he got somebody else to take – in his office, at his laptop, uploading weird comments on the internet.
