The government has already chosen a new CEO for the Lands Authority. We know this because it has published, on its website, a call for applications for the position. The call opened on 19th August and closes on the 29th, the week when everybody and his cat is on holiday. Read it here.
Brace yourselves, chaps – at this rate, it’s probably going to be Sandro Chetcuti. We know for a fact that it can’t be Mark Gaffarena because he can’t read or write (he revealed this in court, saying that it’s because he was taken out of school when he was 10).
Of course, it could also be Toni Abela, because he’s at something of a loose end now. But then again, they’re probably going to make that one a judge.
