The tangled web of Konrad Mizzi/Joseph Muscat/Gasan/Fenech/Brian Tonna corruption: story in the Times of Malta today
Read it here. It turns out that corrupt accountant Brian Tonna’s outfit, Nexia BT, advised the government in general, and Konrad Mizzi in particular, on who to ‘choose’ (rarely have inverted commas been so necessary) to build the power station.
This was while, you will recall, corrupt accountant Brian Tonna was busy setting up secret money-laundering structures for Konrad Mizzi, for Keith Schembri, for the mysterious owner of Egrant Inc, for Shanghai Electric Power’s Chinese negotiator Chen Cheng, and for himself, in Panama and the British Virgin Islands.
And then those Gasan and Fenech crooks – for it’s time we called things by their proper name – appointed corrupt accountant Brian Tonna’s outfit auditor of GEM Holdings Ltd, the vehicle they use to hold their shares in Electrogas Malta Ltd, which the government ‘chose’ to build the power station. Auditing the twists and turns of their truly massive 10,000 euros investment must be so taxing for him.
Meanwhile, with half of Malta talking about them and how corrupt they are, Mark Gasan and his associates must have thought it a brilliant exercise in public relations to be seen a few days ago conspicuously running up a bar bill of hundreds of euros for cocktails at a fashionable new club in Sliema, in the shadow of where he plans to build his skyscraper.
