‘Another day, another scandal’ has now become ‘another hour, another scandal’
And of course, we’re no longer scandalised – it takes a Maltese clock to do that – because in three and a half years of this relentless corruption, cronyism and total lack of barriers, boundaries and ethical standards, we have become as thoroughly brutalised as the citizens of Montenegro.
Today, Malta Today reveals that Transport Malta boss James Piscopo – another crony appointee who was put in the post straight from his role as CEO of the Labour Party – has set up a personal investment company of unexplained purpose and registered its address at Transport Malta’s offices.
The Prime Minister, his corrupt chief of staff and his bent pet minister Konrad Mizzi are really leading by example here, aren’t they. You can’t discipline anybody when you’re in that situation, even if you want to (and I don’t think they do), so now it’s a snatch-and-grab, free-for-all corruption fest.
