UPDATED/Camorra: the photograph that sums up Malta’s government

Published: October 6, 2016 at 3:58pm

Left to right: the Prime Minister’s state-paid communications aide and Labour Party TV/radio show host, Glenn Bedingfield, Police Inspector Sandro Camilleri, and the Civil Liberties Minister’s son, Luke Dalli, who was given a corrupt appointment on the state payroll, as the Malta Arts Council’s lawyer.

Everything about this picture is evidence of the dregs of society that is the new ruling class: the clothes (my God), the flashy watches, the overall hamallu aesthetic, the car, the number-plate, the importance given to the car, the fact that it is parked on a zebra crossing by a police inspector and two government appointees, that a police inspector is dressed like a spiv in the company of the Prime Minister’s aide and the Minister’s son.

It’s completely Third World – the worst of Naples mated with Liberia and Beijing.
