A survey carried out by Ernst & Young among 100 top executives of foreign-owned companies in Malta shows that their confidence in the stability and transparency of Malta’s politics, law and regulatory framework has plunged by 15% in just a year.

EY’s Malta Attractiveness Survey 2016 was presented to the press and the public at a conference this morning. Afterwards, journalists mobbed the Prime Minister at the exit – this time, they probably had all exits covered – and once again asked him about his corrupt cabinet minister’s fictitious audit. The Prime Minister added to the growing perception that Malta is a shady place by giving non-transparent answers.
