€1.71 billion ADDED to Malta’s electricity bill over 18 years by Muscat/Konrad/Gasan/Fenech power station

The Opposition leader has just said in parliament that if we are charged for electricity at current rates rather than at Konrad Mizzi’s 9c6 fixed to accommodate his deal with Gasan, Tumas and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, we will save €95 million a year.

To give you some idea of the mammoth scale of the corruption involved, and the shocking price we will all have to pay, I’ve multiplied this by the 18 years for which Mizzi has bound the government over to buy from the Gasan/Fenech power station. And the grand total is €1.71 billion.
