PLANE CRASH UPDATE: Frontex tweets that “it was not a Frontex plane”

The Times of Malta’s story on this morning’s plane crash included initial reports that the people on board were Frontex officials. Frontex has since tweeted that “The plane that crashed in Malta was not deployed by Frontex”.
Malta International Airport has since released a statement describing the five people who died – all who were on board – as “crew”.
