Disgraced former European Commissioner John Dalli, who escaped prosecution for trading in influence when Prime Minister Muscat and Police Minister Manuel Mallia sacked, within days of coming to power, the Police Commissioner who was waiting to arrest him, and who was then appointed Muscat’s consultant on hospital management, is currently in Hong Kong. A very reliable source on that island saw him there.
