Never trust a man who dyes his hair or wears a hairpiece
Boris Johnson, with his dyed blond hair (yes, it was that distinct shade originally, but not in his 50s) has begun a war against the European principle of freedom of movement, in an attempt at getting free trade for Britain with the European Union without having to take on the concomitant freedom of movement of people and services.
And he has described, in his usual manner that used to be amusing when he was mayor and is now gratuitously offensive and frivolous in his new role as Foreign Secretary, Donald Trump as “a liberal guy from New York”.
You know that there is something deeply wrong with a man when he can’t face the fact that he is bald, grey or both, in a social culture that deems it completely acceptable for men to be either or both, and completely unacceptable for men to dye their hair or wear hair-pieces.
That Western politics is now in the sick grip of two frivolous, ridiculous men, both born to such extreme privilege and who both have such serious personality problems that are the diseased fruit of that privilege, is no longer just worrying. It is dangerous.
