Boris Johnson/George Vella meeting: talk about ‘lost in translation’

I can’t believe Boris Johnson’s joke was taken literally because of its deadpan delivery. You were supposed to laugh in response, people, and not earnestly jot it down and report it.

I’ll bet that cynical piece of work was the one laughing when his aides handed him the newspaper reports.
