Ever the gentleman, Minister Chris gets his henchman to carry the can

We are expected to believe that it was Mario Azzopardi, the boutique-owner and the Minister for the Economy’s business partner (in building) who is also his chief of staff, who drank more than three hundred euros worth of alcohol out of his minibar over three nights in a Dubai hotel.

Henchman Azzopardi obviously thinks it pays him to take a blow for the boss, even if it now means that the entire island has him down as a guzzling lush, and this when everybody who has seen those two knows that they drink together.

I don’t know what’s worse in this story of excuses: the fact that a cabinet minister drinks so much and has such an inappropriate relationship with his chief of staff and his private secretary, or that he unchivalrously blames others to save himself.
