Malta Council for Science and Technology CEO launches volley of hysterical insults at Archbishop of Malta

Anywhere else, this would be a major story and headline news, because these are not ‘JPO’ and ‘Charles Scicluna’, but the government-appointed chief executive officer of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, and the Archbishop of Malta.

Yet here on this benighted and weird island, this kind of utter madness is taken for granted, and the press ignores it completely, cuing its audiences to do the same.

What astonishes me most, though, is the complacency of the council board members at the Malta Council for Science and Technology, to whom these displays of appalling behaviour by their chief executive officer, and the reputational damage caused to the council they are there to protect, don’t seem to matter one jot. What a useless bunch they are – but then they would be, to agree to sit on a council board led by drunken dentist with psychiatric problems.
